After getting into sporting clays, I found myself consuming videos on Youtube to improve my scores and beat my brothers. I quickly learned that proper gun fit and proper gun mount was essential.
After watching a video I found that a tried and true method of practicing the mount and fit was to tape a straw to the rib of the shotgun. Although there are a lot more expensive guns out there than my Beretta, I was hesitant to tape a straw to it and risk damaging my best shotgun.
After discovering and sharing this method with my brother, we discussed the possibility of attaching magnets to a straw. This not only would remove the nasty tape, but also make the training aide easy to remove and reuse on multiple shotguns.
My son, as an engineer, did the CadCam design and 3D printed the shooting aide for me. We tested it, perfected it, and then patented it, and the EYElignment was born!
